Moving into a new student home involves several practical steps. This guide covers how to manage laundry bookings, ensure your electricity is connected, and get your high-speed internet running.

1. Booking Laundry Rooms

As an SSSB tenant, you have access to a laundry room in or adjacent to your building. There are three ways to book your slot:

  • Digital Portal: Use the Aptus booking website.
  • App: Download the Aptus Home app.
  • Physical Board: Manually on the booking board outside the laundry room.

Login Info: Your username and password are typically your object number, which can be found on your rental agreement.

2. Managing Your Electricity

Check your rental agreement to see which of the three electricity types applies to your unit:

  • Electricity Included (Elström ingår): Your usage is covered by your monthly rent. No action is required.
  • Electricity Not Included (Elström ingår ej): You must sign an agreement with an electricity company and the network provider before you move in.
  • El Schablon: SSSB pays for the subscription, but adds a charge based on your actual usage to your monthly rent invoice.

Network Providers by Area

If you need to sign up for your own subscription, contact the network provider for your specific area:

  • Ellevio: Lappis, Jerum, Lucidor, Marieberg, Nyponet, Tanto, etc.
  • Vattenfall: Kungshamra, Medicinaren (Flemingsberg), Pax, and Strix.
  • Nacka Energi: Balder.

3. High-Speed Internet

All SSSB homes are equipped with high-speed broadband via Telenor.

  • Speed: 250/250 Mbit/s (standard). Upgrades are not available.
  • Setup: Use a network cable for a direct connection. If you want Wi-Fi, you must provide your own Wi-Fi router.
  • Support: If you experience connection issues, contact Telenor at 020-222 222. Tell them you live with Stockholms studentbostäder and provide your address.
