How to Start Collecting Days
- Register an Account: Visit the SSSB website and register an account.
- Student Union Membership: To collect more than 90 queue days, you must be an active student and a member of a Student Union affiliated with SSCO (Stockholm Federation of Student Unions).
- Identity Match: It is crucial that you use the same email address and Swedish personal identity number (personnummer) for both SSSB and your Student Union.
Maintaining Your Queue
- 90-Day Rule: If your Student Union membership is not registered on “My Pages” within 90 days of joining the queue, your queue will be deleted unless you “park” it.
- Parking the Queue: Parking allows you to keep your existing days but stops you from earning new ones. This happens automatically if your membership is not detected.
- Activation: Once your updated membership is registered, your queue is automatically reactivated.
- 36-Month Limit: Your queue can remain parked for a maximum of 36 months before it is permanently deleted.
Troubleshooting Membership Issues
Your membership is registered automatically once your union enters you into their system. If it doesn’t appear on “My Pages”:
- Check that your personal details match exactly on both systems.
- Contact your Student Union to ensure they have registered you in the SSCO register.
- SSSB updates its membership data every night.
Once the registration is complete, your place in the housing queue will typically be reactivated within 24 hours.
